Privacy Policy for TapTap

This Privacy Policy describes how TapTap ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our application.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

TapTap collects and stores the following data exclusively on your device:

• Game preferences and settings
• High scores

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads, including device identifiers and usage data. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Remote Configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

We use Firebase Remote Config to manage app settings remotely, such as minimum required app version. No personal data is collected through this service.

Anonymous Authentication (Firebase Auth)

TapTap uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign a unique anonymous identifier to your device. This identifier is used solely to ensure each device has one leaderboard entry per game duration. No personal information is associated with this identifier unless you voluntarily submit a score.

Leaderboard (Firebase Firestore)

TapTap automatically submits your score to the leaderboard when you achieve a new personal best in Solo mode. The first time this happens, you will be asked to provide a display name. The following data is collected and stored on Firebase Firestore (Google LLC):

• Display name (entered voluntarily by you)
• Optional comment (entered voluntarily by you)
• Game score and selected duration
• Country code (derived from your IP address via a third-party geolocation service, ipapi.co)
• Anonymous device identifier (Firebase Auth UID)
• Submission timestamp

Only your highest score per game duration is stored. Previous scores are overwritten when a new personal best is achieved.

If you do not achieve a personal best, no data is sent to our servers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except as described above through Firebase and AdMob services (Google LLC).

Data Retention

Locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data. Leaderboard data (name and score) is stored on Firebase Firestore indefinitely unless you request deletion.

Data Deletion

To request deletion of your leaderboard data, please contact us at aktenozan@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

TapTap is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
